Basran Records Historic Shutout

Roman Basran has etched his name into the Kelowna Rockets’ record books.  On Saturday, Basran turned aside all 38 shots from the Medicine Hat Tigers to become the first 16-year-old to earn a shutout for the Rockets in his first WHL start.  He was also named the league’s first star of the night.

Here is what the Twitter world had to say about Roman’s performance:

Congratulations to @RomanBasran on your 1st shutout with @Kelowna_Rockets! We hope it’s the first of many. No #Kelowna we aren’t related. A few more shutouts and I may start claiming we are though?!

The rockets recalled Basran from the Okanagan Quad Rockets on October 20.  He also represented Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, earlier this month.  Congratulations Roman on all your recent success!
