Four YHA Lions Nominated For CSSHL Awards

The Yale Hockey Academy is proud to have four of its players nominated for a Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) award this year.

Graham Sward is nominated for 'Top Defenceman' in the Bantam Prep division.  His 18 points (2 goals; 16 assists) this season was second on the team in scoring among D-men.  Sward doubled his points total from last year while providing a stabilizing force on the blue line.

Michael Milne is nominated for the 'MVP Award' in the Elite 15 division. Milne's 50 points (28 goals; 22 assists) was first in team scoring and ninth overall in the division.  He had eight multi-goal games and registered two hat tricks.

Alex Cotton is nominated for 'Top Defenceman' in the Midget Prep division.  Cotton led all D-men in his division with 54 points (11 goals; 43 assists) this season.  His scoring production was up nearly fourfold from last year while adding toughness on the Lions' back end.

Holden Kodak is nominated for the 'MVP Award' in the Midget Prep division.  Kodak skated away with the scoring title this season, registering a divisional league record 92 points.  He also became the first player in Midget Prep to score 50 goals in a single season.

Congratulations to all four of our nominees!  The CSSHL Awards will be announced on March 14 at the BDO CSSHL Championships.
