Yale Hockey Academy Invited To John Reid Tournament

The Yale Lions have been invited to compete in the illustrious 40th Annual John Reid Memorial Tournament.  Next year’s event will be held January 18-21, 2018 at the Servus Credit Union Place in St. Albert, Alberta.  Only 16 teams from across Western Canada and the United States are invited to attend each year.  It is considered one of the premier showcases for Bantam players ahead of the WHL draft.  Last year, over 100 scouts, managers and coaches attended the tournament.

The Lions will be looking to continue a recent tradition of success at the John Reid Memorial Tournament.  In 2016, Yale defeated Delta in the finals to take home the gold medal.  In 2017, the Lions returned to the championship game and won silver after coming up just short in the shoot-out.

The Yale Hockey Academy is honoured to be invited back for 2018 and congratulates the other 15 teams that were selected to attend as well.
