Yale Hockey Academy Raise $4,000 for Matthew's House

Yale Lions Raise $4,000 for Matthew’s House

The Yale Hockey Academy raised $4,000 this year in support of Matthew’s House, an Abbotsford-based organization that provides quality care for children with special needs.  Program director Billy Wilms along with team captains Jake Chiasson, Owen Forfellow and Holden Kodak presented the cheque on Monday to Matthew’s House Resource Development member Laura Ullock.  This year’s funds were raised on September 23rd through the Yale Hockey Academy’s annual Charity Golf Tournament. Over 70 people participated in the day-long event at Ledgeview Golf Course, with the participation of local community sponsors.

The Yale Hockey Academy prides itself in developing Life Champions, which is nurturing student athletes into becoming positive role models.  Participation in the Charity Golf Tournament helps our students build towards this culture and teaches them the importance of giving back to their communities.
